Constantine I, 307/310-337. Follis (Silvered bronze, 19 mm, 2.76 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 320. CONSTA-NTINVS AVG Helmeted and cuirassed bust of Constantine I to right. Rev. VIRTV-S AVGG / P - R / R P Campgate with open doors and three turrets. RIC -. Extremely rare, well struck and nicely centered, with a lovely reverse. Nearly extremely fine.

The very interesting 'three turrets, open doors' reverse type is known from a total of only four coins, all in private hands: a unique example for Crispus (lot 3098 below) and three examples for Constantine I, two of which are in the Ramskold Collection.
